Important: Optimal Blackjack is an educational and entertainment application that simulates casino card games. It does not involve real money gambling. No real money is wagered, won, or lost through this application.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Optimal Blackjack mobile application ("the app", "the service"). By downloading, installing, or using Optimal Blackjack you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. AGE REQUIREMENT AND ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Optimal Blackjack. By using the app you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18 you are not permitted to use this app and must uninstall it immediately.

You must also have a valid Google account to sign in and use the app's features.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

Optimal Blackjack provides:

Card counting training tools and accuracy tracking
Strategy charts and deviation tables
A simulated single and multi-seat blackjack practice environment
Training statistics saved to your account
Optional cosmetic customisation items (card decks, themes) available for purchase

All gameplay within Optimal Blackjack uses virtual chips with no real monetary value. The app is designed solely for educational, training, and entertainment purposes.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under it.

You may choose a username within the app subject to our username policy (see Section 5). Usernames must be between 3 and 10 characters and must not contain offensive, hateful, or inappropriate content.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen within the app. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

4. EDUCATIONAL AND ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSE ONLY

Optimal Blackjack is strictly an educational tool. Strategy advice, EV calculations, and counting guidance are provided for learning purposes only. We do not encourage, facilitate, or promote real-money gambling. Any use of skills learned in this app in a real casino is entirely at your own risk and discretion. We accept no responsibility for financial outcomes resulting from decisions made at real casino tables.

Please be aware that card counting, while not illegal, may be prohibited by individual casinos. Always check and comply with the rules of any establishment you visit. Optimal Blackjack accepts no liability for any consequences arising from the application of techniques learned in this app.

5. USERNAME POLICY

Usernames must:

Be between 3 and 10 characters long
Contain only letters, numbers, and underscores
Not contain profanity, hate speech, slurs, or offensive content
Not impersonate Optimal Blackjack, its staff, or other users
Not contain personal information such as your real name or email

We reserve the right to change or remove usernames that violate these rules without notice. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

6. IN-APP PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

Optimal Blackjack offers optional cosmetic in-app purchases including card deck designs and app themes ("Premium Content"), as well as a premium subscription plan ("Premium Subscription") available on a monthly or annual basis. Cosmetic purchases are purely cosmetic and provide no gameplay advantage or real-world value.

One-time purchases:

All one-time purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not handle or store any payment information.
Prices are displayed in your local currency as set by Google Play and may vary by region.
All one-time purchases are final. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law (including EU consumer protection law).
Under EU law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content purchases, unless you have started downloading or using the content. By completing a purchase and immediately accessing the content you consent to waive this right.
Purchased content is linked to your Google account and is available as long as your account is active. It does not expire and is not transferable between accounts.
If you delete your account, access to purchased content will be lost. We do not provide refunds for purchases upon account deletion.

Premium Subscription:

The Premium Subscription is available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. The applicable price is displayed at the time of purchase in your local currency via Google Play.
Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Google Play account will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store (Google Play → Subscriptions → Optimal Blackjack → Cancel). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until that date. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
Free trials: If a free trial is offered, unused trial time is forfeited upon purchase of a subscription. You will not be charged during the trial period; charges begin at the start of the first paid period.
Subscription benefits are linked to your Google account and are not transferable to another account.
If you delete your account mid-subscription, access is terminated immediately and no refund is issued for the remaining period.

Chargebacks and disputes:

If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at blackjackpro.studio@gmail.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card provider. We will make every effort to resolve billing issues promptly. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account. For billing issues handled by Google Play, please also contact Google Play Support.

Account suspension and purchases:

If your account is suspended or terminated due to a violation of these Terms, you will immediately lose access to all Premium Content and any active subscription, with no refund issued for any remaining subscription period or unused purchases.

7. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the app
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
Submit false support requests or abuse the contact system
Use the app if you are under 18 years of age

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content within Optimal Blackjack — including but not limited to graphics, card artwork, sounds, UI design, text, and code — is the property of the developer and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without prior written permission.

9. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Optimal Blackjack is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that strategy advice will lead to positive outcomes in real-world casino play.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any financial losses incurred at real casino tables.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable EU law.

10. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

Violate these Terms
Use offensive or prohibited usernames
Engage in abusive behaviour through the support system
Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the app

You may delete your own account at any time via Profile → Delete Account. Upon deletion all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

11. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Greece (as the developer's country of establishment), without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence within the EU.

12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. FORCE MAJEURE AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Optimal Blackjack relies on third-party infrastructure including Firebase, Google Play, and Google Sign-In. We are not liable for any interruption, degradation, or loss of service caused by outages, failures, or changes to these third-party platforms, or by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to acts of God, internet outages, government actions, or cyberattacks. In such events we will make reasonable efforts to restore service as quickly as possible.
